My coaching philosophy
is driven by my goal for student-athletes to grow both physically and
individually. This is done through hard work, overcoming adversity, being
responsible and respectful. As a coach I hold my ability to mentor student-athletes
to the highest regard and strive for student-athletes to grow from each experience.
My goal is to create an environment where student-athletes feel united as a
team, working towards both team and individual goals. I believe everyone plays
an equal role on the team, regardless of playing time. Each student-athlete
knows their role, their goals and how they impact the team. Throughout the
season, it is made a priority to set goals and work toward these goals
throughout the year. I believe in having a strong line of communication with my
student-athletes, by allowing student-athletes to participate in problem
solving and leadership opportunities. I want the experience of sport
competition to be something my student-athletes can carry throughout their
lives; by staying physical active, healthy and applying both the values and
ethics learned through their experiences.
